What is the planning process like with the band?

 

We’re glad you asked, this is one of the areas we really excel in! We pride ourselves on attention to details both big and small and really thrive on excellent communication. Our client liaison team brings years of event planning and industry experience to handling all of the important logistics of your day. We’ll talk about the musical vision for your event and help you create the best possible experience and memories for your family and guests. We will provide you with the band’s inspirational song list to guide you in submitting your specialty requests and we’ll be there every step along the way to make any needed suggestions and answer your questions (there’s no such thing as a silly question, please ask away!). We’ll talk through all of the day's event details and ensure that everything is in place for you to have an amazing soundtrack to your day! 

How many pieces are in the band?

 

Our standard band consists of seven pieces and includes a male and female vocalist, keyboardist, drummer, guitarist, bass guitarist and saxophonist. We can also increase the size of the band at the request of the client. 

Will the band play special requests?

 

Of course we will! During the planning process, you can submit a set number of highly requested songs that will also include your specialty dances (think your first dance, parent dances etc).  We will also work together to talk about what types of music and songs you like AND dislike to curate the music for your special day.

When does the band break?

 

Great question! Most typically the band will take a break as the main course is served to your guests.  During that time there will be light background music playing on MP3. There is usually another small break at some point later in the evening. Any band breaks will always coincide most appropriately with your event timeline. We work seamlessly with the couple, planner, and or day-of coordinator to identify the ideal time for any band breaks. One of the benefits of live music and musicians is the flexibility to adjust to your schedule and event in real time, allowing us to ensure the best overall experience for your event!

Do you provide ceremony and or cocktail hour musicians?

 

You bet we can! We are happy to work with you to talk about adding musicians to elevate the other elements of your wedding day.  Our planning process includes assisting couples with musical selections for thier ceremony and or cocktail hour. Our musical expertise lends well to recommending the perfect options for these musician groupings.

 

 

Will the band emcee in the evening?

 

This is our jam! We will make sure your event flows smoothly, including the announcement of all formalities, specialty dances, speeches etc.  This includes coordinating and introducing the bridal party and most importantly, reading the dance floor to keep it packed!  We are experts at creating a great party and entertaining your guests.

 

 

Does the band travel?

 

Yes, we love to travel to create a great party! We have entertained guests all over New England, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, and beyond. Some locations may require overnight accommodations for the band. We’re happy to talk about the travel logistics for your event.
